JSPS研究拠点形成事業「アジア・アフリカ学術基盤形成型」国際セミナー in コンゴ民主共和国

2019年7月12日にコンゴ民主共和国のH.J.病院およびキンシャサ大学において、2019年度の国際セミナーを開催しました。前年度のケニア中央医学研究所（KEMRI）とアガカーン大学病院に続きアフリカ地域での第2期目の国際セミナーになります。本講座からは、山岡教授と同国からの国費留学生であるThsibangu Evariste Kabambaさんが参加しました。若手研究者や研修医の参加者を交え、アフリカ諸国だけではなく世界的な課題である薬剤耐性菌や本学の特徴でもある消化器内視鏡分野における低侵襲医療の発展について活発な意見交換が行われました。また、コンゴ民主共和国公衆衛生局の事務局長を表敬訪問し、感染症や医療における課題や研究・学生交流について会談しました。その後、日本のJICAが進める国立生物医学研究所の改修現場も見学し、改めてアフリカ諸国における我々の果たすべき課題と役割を再認識させられました。 The international seminar for JSPS Core-to-Core Program Aisa-Africa Science Platforms was held at H.J Hospital and University of Kinshasa in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo on 12th July, 2019. We had the seminar in Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and Aga Khan University Hospital last year, this is our second scientific meeting in African countries. Prof. Yamaoka, Dr Evariste and other panels had focued on antimicrobial resistance, minimally invasive endoscopic surgery and the genetic approaches to Helicobacter pylori infection in thier presentations. And, they also made a courtesy call on Dr. Sylvain Yuma Ramazani who is the general secretary of Health Nationa, Ministry of Public Health DRC. They have disscused regarding the issue of infectious diseases and medical facilities in this country. They also visited to National institute for Research and Biomedical (INRB) DRC is currently under renovation by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) support. We recognized our respective roles and responsibilities of Japan in these countries.
